I have to agree.  Savage Empire was IMO a much better game than 
Ultima 6.  Less righteous, more cool things, better scenery,
neat and simple magic system, cool characters, more than one 
way to do most things... and SHORTER.  I quit Ultima 6 after 
I got tired of wandering around in yet another dungeon 
with no automapping, trying to find stuff. I finished Savage
Empire in a nice amount of time, and felt satisfied.
