I really don't see what that has to do with anything we are talking about.

But the point is that Origin did NOT spend 4 mil. dollars on
Privateer. There's a difference. *I* would be more careful if I were
spending 4 mil dollars on something as opposed to a few hundred
thousand, wouldn't you?

That's a LAUGH! You've probably only seen the best movies from these
places. Believe me, I have seen MANY Hong Kong and Japanese movies
that were absolutely HORRIBLE -- cheezy, stupid, boring! And....
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS boy meets girl....

You asked for ONE movie... I'll give you a few... Sommersby? The
Last Emperor? Schindler's List? (was this hyped up crap?) etc etc

Anyway, I think that the public LIKES to see good triumph over evil.
Remember that people watch movies to escape the real world. In the
real world people see all of these horrible things happening -- it's
nice to go to the movies and see the good guy destroy all the bad guys
and win over the girl. If it's well done, of course! I think that a
movie that shows otherwise would flop badly -- and you might blame it
on the public... certainly don't blame it on the film makers. Believe
me, I'm not defending all film makers. There IS a lot of crap out
there. However, I just believe that you don't give them enough
credit.
