There is this newish talk show on Lifetime hosted by Jane Pratt, whoever that is. Anyhow, a friend was telling me today how a few days ago the topic was cybersex or something like that. She said they had this computer game called "Virtual Valerie" where the object was to score big with Valerie. Anyone ever heard of this??? For what system is it?? IS it like MacPlaymate (Mac) or SimuSex (IBM)?? Thanks for any answers!!

It's for the Macintosh...the new version just came out on CD-ROM, and there's
a review of it in the most recent (?) Inside Mac Games, an online Mac Games
magazine that might be a bit useless if you don't have a mac.

I've not seen it firsthand, but have read several articles about it as well as an interview with Mike Saenz, the wild man who created Virtual Valerie (sort of a follow-up to the classic "MacPlaymate"). It's supposed to be lots of fun the first time, kind of run-of-the-mill after that, maybe even boring after a while... Saenz said he put lots of cute things to discover in the building she "lives" in, though, which should keep things fresh. He also said (I'll try to find the *#&!@! magazine) that the "sequel" was probably going to be called something like "Donna Matrix," and joked about creating a spinoff company from Reactor that would specialize in such types of software -- he'd call it "Erector!" -- Brian +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Brian Lev/Hughes STX Corporation 301-286-9514 FAX 301-286-5152 | | Goddard Space Flight Center DECnet: DFTNIC::LEV | | Computer Network Branch, Code 933 TCP/IP: l...@dftnic.gsfc.nasa.gov | | Greenbelt, MD 20771 USA BITNET: LEV@DFTBIT | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | I DO NOT SPEAK FOR NASA OR HSTX! | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | "The ability of a network to knit together the members of a sprawling | | community has proved to be the most powerful way of fostering scien- | | tific advancement yet discovered." -- Peter Denning | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+
