 I wouldn't expect that. Most games use sound driver libraries that are bought
 from another company or were developed over a few years. ID chose to write
 their own drivers due to the fact that the ones they used in Doom caused
 a few problems. Cards with hardware SB emulation usually seem to work and
 i don't think it's ID's fault that these emulations are only 8 bit mono.
