Hi Paula:

I don't put my real email address in messages, and so far I don't get much
spam. I also have a hotmail address that I use now and then. It comes in
handy.

Yes, it is good you diodn't give up or you would have missed a great game.
I haven't gotten around to XP - its very expensive to buy. I don't know if I
need to buy the complete XP or an upgrade since I have Win 98SE. Haven't
gotten to investigating about that yet. Isn't XCP Pro for business and not
so much for home use? It must cost a lot to buy XP then upgrade to XP Pro.

 Since it's kind of

Yes, you may as well play it all when you get the game. I played the demo
though and got stuck and never did finish.
Luckily I didn't get stuck in the same part in the game itself. I got stuck
at another few places though. I wouldn't say its a real difficult game, but
there are a couple of annoying things - there are two timed sequences when
you have to do things in a certain period of time or you die. I am stuck at
one like that right now and doing the same thing over and over is very
tedious. Very
aggravating and I wish no games had them. I can't imagine why game
developers/designers think that game players like that kind of thing. Maybe
some do, but I don't know anyone personally who does.

Yes, that part annoyed me too, and you feel like saying "hurry up and get
your coats on and get outside" :) and why do they have to do that every
time. But the game is so good in other ways, you learn to get used to it.

Sometimes when I try to "use" an object, the game

That did not happen to me, but it may be because you are using Win XP,
though I haven't played it for a while and can't remember if I played it on
my new system which I got about a year ago.

Well, like you say, as long as the "use" object hasn't happened very often,
it wouldn't affect your game playing too much. What I liked about the game
was its a long game and Holmes and Watson go to so many different locations,
I found it so interesting to see where they would go next.
