Ok, I'm trying to make an abuse level, and I had the following idea for a puzzle: Near the beginning, there is a point where the player can pick up what seem to be limitless amounts of respawned ammo. However, every time the player picks up a unit of ammo, an ant armed with that ammo is added to a later room. So if you get lots, they'll get lots too. And they've got numbers. Having accepted I'd have to modify a level in order to do this (partly because of the DARNEL (bug?)), I make a respawner to generate the repeating ammo, linking it to a grenade_icon2 on the floor. However, it doesn't work. The 'linked' grenade still appears, but a series of 'fuzzy', semi-transparant grenades constantly drop down behind it. Ah well, I figure, I'll try it without the respawning. I link the grenade_icon2 to a hidden_ant elsewhere. Then I drop to play mode and get the grenade. When I enter the other room, I hear the roar of ants activating, but none actually drop. If this was the editor used for designing the games current levels, I heartily admire the designer for his patience! Mg --

The respawner is currently broken. It works only with health boosters. Wait until the net patch to use the respawner. -- // "C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it // harder, but when you do, it blows away your whole leg." // // -- Bjarne Stroustrup on C++
