Mortal Kombat II & Gravis joypad

My problem is that I cannot get my gravis gamepads to be recognized by
mortal kombat II. I have a gravis gamecard that supports two joysticks and
works fine with most other games (FX Fighter, Savage Warriors). However, only
the keyboard will work with MK2. The gameplay is really sweet, smooth as silk,
but I'd really like to be able to play with the joystick instead of the keyboard. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Yes I own the 'gravis eliminator' game card also. Mortal Kombat I and Mortal
Kombat II will both not work with my gravis and the gravis gamecard. If I
want to use the gravis I have to pull the gamcard and use the game port on
my I/O card or on my soundcard. Sucks if you want to hook a gravis and a
suncom gamepads up at the same time and play MK.

And the MK games are the only games which I've found that hate the gravis
gamecard.
