	A friend of mine has PITFALL for Win95 and he has gotten to the 
last level.  He can't seem to kill the big RockMonster.  

	Any help?

humm, I had that problem, too.The last guy was alost impossible to kill
becaue you can only hit him the the upper part of body, most of his move
you can dodge it but one of the move that he simply pull you from anywhere
of the screen and hit you is unavoidable. anyhow, The best I could get him
down to 50%. Anyhow, here is a easier way. Start form two level before 
the last boss.  Remember the guy transform for cougar into human..
well befor you meet him there is a pattern you can do to pick magic rock 
up to 99.Right at the last check point, jump to the right and go left
to get down,  go little to right and climb  up.  when you get to the top
get the magic stone from left. go back where the check point and go down 
into the hold, move the pad to left(don't fall to your death) hit the two
pot and you can get another 2magic stone and a extra life. now just kill 
your self and keep doing the pattern until you have 99 magic stone. now 
go the the last level just keep shooting the magic stone anywehre in the 
screen and keep jumping as well. This should do it.. otherwise, I thik
it was impossible to finish the game..

....timing.  It's all timing.  I've beaten the guy (barely) after about 
10 attempts...with the starting congiguration of 2 boomerangs, 1 power 
rock, and 20 sling bullets.  Its all in the timing.  If he kneels, duck.  
If you see him start his hoe-down, attack, by jumping in sync with him 
and hit him with the whip at close range or the slingshot beyond that. If 
you need something on the other sde of him, you wai for him to jump.  
And, if he's walking, try to attack him by aiming the sling bullets up.  
The boomerangs you can throw at him without aiming up, as with the 
rocks.  It just takes practice doing it this way...
