I was playing around just now with STUNT ISLAND -- a very *under*rated package, but this is not the group for that discussion -- when I suddenly started dreaming about a game I'd like to see. STUNT ISLAND features a fully-realized 3-D island loaded with interesting geological and architectural features to be used for stunt flying (and the filming of same). I was flying a little Curtiss JuneBug low and slow around this craggy cliff topped with a castle when an image from "Where Eagles Dare" popped into my head. Then I began thinking: wouldn't it be cool if I could use these locations to set up and carry out commando raids? Small teams of 4-8 commandos, each with a "first-person" POV you could toggle, doing missions in urban, jungle, marine environments.... Entebbe-like raids on airfields, taking out terrorists in a crowded football stadium, rescuing prisoners from an inaccessible Nazi-held castle.... Whew...

I agree, a _very_ underrated package. I never did much with it, except for a couple of airshow-type flyby shots, and a couple of chase scenes. It's too bad Disney isn't going to do anything more with it. An interesting idea; maybe Quake will be able to do something like this. It seems to me like your plan would be a modification/evolution of the Heretic engine (being able to look up and down would be indispensible)... Craig
