The (approximately) 6 million Jews who were deliberately exterminated
by the Nazis came from all over Europe, not just Germany.

I find it very sad that, 55 years on, we are not only losing those who
directly experienced these horrors but we have people popping up who
are denying the very reality of those experiences.  I have personally
met two survivors of the death camps who had the rest of their family
murdered simply because they were Jewish.  These people survived
because they were "lucky" enough to be needed for labouring jobs
within the camps (including the disposal of gassed bodies in one case)
around the time of their liberation.  A few more weeks and they would
both have been killed too.

It is difficult to know what this man with his irrational theories
about Jews and his seeming hatred of them is really arguing here.  Is
it that there were only 5 million Jews gassed, shot or starved to
death?  4 million maybe?  1 million, perhaps?  Were there "only"
10,000 murdered in the death camps?

The figure of 6 million was based on the best information available to
the conquering allies.  A number of institutions devoted to studying
the holocaust can still name many of them.

The sheer scale of the horror of World War 2 is impossible for present
generations to fully understand.  The only armed conflicts that we
know from our modern news reports are mere skirmishes in comparison.
For instance, how many really know that there were about *20 million*
Soviet Union civilians and military personnel killed in World War 2?
Most of those were civilians who were murdered in what would now be
called "ethnic cleansing" by the SS and Nazi-led troops and, of
course, many of those were Jewish.

The true horror of the attempted extermination of the European Jews
was a combination of both its scale and its motive.  These people were
murdered simply *because* they were Jewish.  They were not part of
some great imagined Jewish conspiracy.  They were just ordinary people
who were usually parted from their loved ones and put through enormous
suffering before being mercilessly killed, all to satisfy the demands
of some insane and evil ideology.
