Well minimum recommendation for FO4 is
NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB

recommendation is for
NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB or AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB

So look for what you can afford between those, unless you can afford the
top end.

I usually use this site for finding the card at the point I want:

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html

the 780 listed is 6GB, and the 290X is 3, while the 550 isn't there at
all. However the 7870 is there, though it doesn't say the memory, so
might not be the one we're looking for, but it has a G3D mark of 4280,
and a price of $257.48 through Amazon So that's the minimum we're
looking for.

We can at least look at the 780 6gb as above what you need at $588 and
G3D Mark of 8029 too.

We can also look at what's the best bang for your buck, i.e. performance
per dollar, which looks to be a GTX 980 T1 at 11k G3D mark, and $599, I'd
certainly get this one over the 780 if you wan the high end, for $11 more.

Going lower on the budget these look like the best breaks, each going
down is less performance for your money though:

GTX 970 (4GB) at 8652 3DMark, for $299 this is probably the one I'd aim
for, still above the recommended performance & meets highest recommended
memory.
GTX 960 (2GB) at 5975 for $179
GTX 950 (2GB) at 5344 for $139
GTX 570 (2GB) at 4393 for $99 - that looks like the bottom of what you
can get that's still above the minimum recommendations.

Also wondering what I'd need so research done for me too, since I want to
get it, but I'm running at GTX 270 879MB at 1217 3DMark, which
probably wouldn't play it.
