There are a myriad of control options for the PC, the SFX Gamepad is an excellent choice. There's the new GRIP device from Gravis with 4 port support for new digital joysticks and 8-button digital joypads. And you can hook your PC into your stereo for "cranking" sound. Normal 2D graphics cards cost $300. The advantage with one of these for the PC is that the games will be in 640*480, and have the PC's advantages of lots of ram and component add-ons and editors/cheats. PC's will always be more expensive. They were when the SNES was out by a larger margin than now, and in some respects the SNES could do things back then that the PC couldn't. Now, with Pentiums far more cheap and 3D/2d accelerators, the margin is narrowed and the PC will be able to do the same types of games- perhaps even better, than the consoles, and still keep the standard PC fare that appeals to more mature gamers. With the home PC market continually growing, this points to a _larger_ market for PC gaming, not a smaller one. Consoles will succeed- but so will the PC. > >I guess its just that there are some games like doom type games that are >better on the P.C. and there are some games like Tohshinden that are >better on console games. What 3D fighting games are there on the PC? FX fighter, that's it. It's far more of a fair judgement when the 3D accelerators become the norm and we can compare.
