Well, they're always reinvesting profits into the next new shiny, and eventually the next new shiny will fail, it is speculation after all, so the money gets thrown into the fire at some point. We frequently criticize the games industry for being too conservative and not embracing innovation in gameplay and game concepts. The antidote to what you're describing is more conservatism in that arena. I'll take reinvestment in new shiny any day, but there's a balance to be struck. Hopefully they'll find it and we'll still get a variety of games to play. I have little interest in VR, though. Anecdotally, which is definitely not evidence, VR is a non-starter with most everyone I know. Too much uncanny valley I think. -- Zag No one ever said on their deathbed, 'Gee, I wish I had spent more time alone with my computer.' ~Dan(i) Bunten
