I thought 3DBlaster was $350, not $150. If I had a 486DX2 VL and $350 I'd
surely not spend the $350 on a VL bus board since I'd have to dump it when
I upgraded to a Pentuim (the fast Pentium boards are all PCI - look at the
benchmarks in http://www.dfw.net/~sdw/bench.html). Also, it's getting harder
to find Pentuim MB with VLB, most have a combo VL/PCI which SUCK, I bought
one such board and threw it away - I was getting 48fps with P5 100MHz on
3Dbench with 512K cache and a Stealth 64 Video. I bought a PCI M.B. and my
3Dbench went to 100 fps (256K cache, same processor and graphics board,
Triton chipset).
Another point: you say in theory VLB is faster, but the benchmark results
don't seem to agree.

P.S. Fry's was advertising a P75+MB for $309, I'd get one of those before
I get a VLB accelerator card (unless it has an Opti chipset, look for Triton
or SiS)
