VLB-only is a dumb thing. Anybody with a VLB motherboard is just going to get either a 486-pci motherboard, or change to a Pentium. No way anybody is going to invest even US$150 on a new board for an antique computer. No way! The 3D Blaster is sure to die! This means that Creative, after the Sharevision screwup, after the MPEG card screwup, the phone blaster screwup, the modem blaster screwup, etc., is going to experience now, the CD-R screwup and of course, the 3D screwup!! Long live Diamond! Not bad, for an N number of products company, N-1 products screwup! THe exception, is of course, the Sound Blaster. Now, what better evidence is there that the SB series was a serious fluke?
