That's good news. I hope we'll be playing some Direct-Draw games by Christmas!!! =) I just wonder if my ET4000 (16bit color but no windows accelerator) will benefit with the DirectDraw driver when games that use it come out. Guess not.... BTW I have a GUS and since it has got hardware mixing I'm wondering if it will benefit from this feature with DirectSound. Yes, I know it even hasn't got Win95 drivers yet, but suprisingly the Win3.1 drivers work with some limitations (of course I can't play a DOS game in Win95 with sound). And what do you guys think about Creative Labs 3D Blaster (I must say I don't like Creative but I admit they have the market power to make a new standard here) ? I know it'll come out in Christmas (VLB version) and will be a 2D (with full DirectDraw,Reality Lab and Direct3D API support) and of course 3D accelerator (using the Glint game-version 3D chip). What do you guys think about this? One other interesting option is the "all-in-one" NVidia chip (2d,3d,wt sound, joystick port and even some kind of video acceleration). But since, it uses curves instead of polygons it may be a lot slower when it's not programmed directly..... And it seems that game programmers must do a lot of work to program this chip directly. My interests here are purely in gaming... But I will only bought a 3D-card that will have the power to be very well supported. Come on and give your comments about all this !!!
