In article <42n1u9$o...@maverick.tad.eds.com>, will...@tpd.eds.com says... > Hey, that was what I was wondering but vice versa. > MWII looks good from what I've seen but Earhsiege > has alot more detail to the mechs and terrain. It also now has an expansion Earthsiege sucked as far as game-play was concerned. (a) No training available. You *could* run individual missions vs. campaign mode. But, you couldn't even run the same mission more than three times. How do you get good at it if you only have 3 shots to get it right? (b) Way too hard. I've heard that people with foot pedals and a joystick were able to succeed on some of the missions, after several weeks of effort. But it wasn't my idea of a fun time. I usually like to play a game all the way through on "easy" or "medium" mode once before trying it on "impossible" mode. In Earthsiege, you never had that choice. You could change your mech to be invincible, but that's not really the same thing. I think that even the people who like to brag about how "easy" some games are will fall silent in that regar when it comes to EarthSiege. MechWarrior 2, on the other hand, was no cakewalk, even on Medium mode, but it wasn't impossible to win either. And if you wanted more challenge than that, you could always switch to Hard mode and use fewer / smaller mechs on your missions. JDA
