HUH? I ran Doom SE for DOS on the demo machine at Computer City. I
checked and it DID NOT use DOS compatibility mode. It used the ordinary
default settings. For fun, I switched back with Alt-TAB and started 3 more
copies of DOOM SE, all on different episodes (Yes, DOOM SE has a 4th level
that's much harder than the rest) and rapidly switched between them using
Alt-TAB. Speed for each episode being played at the time (all were
full-screen) was about what I'd expect from a machine of that caliber
(Acer P-100 with 16MB.)
