PALMER THOMAS L (fs...@aurora.alaska.edu) composed eloquently: >OS/2 Warp is the absolute worst OS I have ever seen. I bought it seening >as everyone claimed it was so good. Not only was I unable to get it to >install because of my Western Digital EIDE drive, Really? It installed quite nicely this morning on my WD drive. I'm using it to type this message right now. >IBM could give me NO HELP WHAT SO EVER. I can't comment on tech support, haven't needed to call yet. :) >With the ability to get 45fps out of a game on a 486/66 with a DOS game >that could only get 30fps in DOS on a P-75 how can you go wrong??? I'd find this very hard to believe, since *all* dos emulation requires some overhead. A DOS game will run faster in DOS than in any other OS. Most DOS games access video memory directly; you just can't get any faster than that. -- _________________________________________________________ Robert Woodcock | Note: Your standard disclaimers apply. | r...@netcom.com | I never forget a face (In some cases | ................| it can be quite a curse) - Plucky Duck |
