Okay, after popping in and out of this thread in various newsgroups,
people keep saying Win95 can run so-and-so games fine, which are always the same
games. The top 5 basically. Yes, so now we all know DF, Doom 1 & 2, blah, blah,
all run fine. Since im currently posting in an RPG newsgroup, what about all the
Ultimas, Star Trail, Arena, DM 2(demo), all those AD&D games, Xeen games, etc,
etc.
Another question, which I might have missed, is that im clueless how the
sound is used. Most games use their own built-in drivers, how does Win95 react
to another program trying to access a specific card, while its driver is still
open? Does it just let it? (ie. you can play mods in a mod player while you can
hear Doom music and sfx while playing doom...).
