OK. This will be the first and last time I post to this inane thread.
Here's my experience with both OS/2 and Win95(beta 501).

OS/2:
Began install from CD. No good. Install disk didn't have drivers for
my CD-ROM. Had to hunt for those on the internet. After getting them
I finally installed it. OS/2 didn't recognize my Hercules Stingray VLB
graphics card nor my Aztech Labs Sound Galaxy 16. Sound and graphics
were stuck at a level lower than I'd had previously with Win 3.1. I
tried running some Windows apps that I had run regularly. They ran
piss-slow. The OS/2 native apps I had weren't as useful as their
Windows counterparts. I tried using OS/2's Help but it was too vague.
So now I was stuck with an OS that ran things worse or not at all.
After two days of trying and trying to configure and rationalize for
OS/2, I uninstalled it.

Win95:
Installation was easy. It recognized the old Win 3.1 settings and
used them. It recognized my Aztech sound card and gave it the right
settings. The desktop was the same one I had before. Everything
seemed fine. I began fitting right in to the Win95 routine. Things
that had been a hassle before with 3.1 seemed fixed. Only one
problem, some of the apps caused an error with the original Hercules
graphics drivers. I emailed Hercules and recieved a beta driver from
them that works perfectly. Two days later, the old DOS and Windows
were deleted.

But, of course, this is just my experience.
