Headline News has said the the DOJ will not take any actions
to prevent Microsoft from shipping Win95 with MSN on
August 24th. They will, however, continue an investigation
afterward.
Personal Note:
--------------
Personaly I like Microsoft products. Although, I can see
why competitors get in an uproar. But in my opinion the only
reason thier competitors are doing poorly is because Microsoft
just does such a better job at producing quality software for the
average computer user. No one is preventing Novell or Joe Schmoe
from creating a personal computer OS to compete with Microsoft.
The computer business is not like a telephone or cable company
Almost anyone can go out and buy a computer and begin coding.
Look at what id did. They produced a piece of software on a
non-microsoft system, that (today) runs on several non-microsoft systems.
DOOM is probably one of the most popular peices of software
in computer history. (of course, Microsoft is liscensing it now) ;)
