So now you are claiming to know why EVERY computer vendor
pre-installs Windows on their systems. Or are you implying that
just because you don't like Windows, nobody should. Get a life!
As has been stated many times before by countless other people,
people buy systems because of what it will do for them and for
the software they can run on it. They can buy a system with OS/2
or System 7 or UNIX or whatever OS they want installed on it.
They might have to look harder to find one, but it can be done.
People have the freedom to buy a system at a particular store or
go somewhere else that offers a system with the features,
functionality, software, etc. that they want. Just because a
majority of vendors systems in stores have Windows pre-installed
on them doesn't mean that Microsoft is forcing the vendors to do
that. Maybe the vendors want to put whatever they feel will sell
best on their systems?
