Provided, of course, that it isn't a hoax and doesn't get sued out of existance before seeing the light of day. http://www.smksoft.vistcom.ru/pufo.shtml

Pity the site is in Russian, but luckily there are translators for that: http://webtranslation.paralink.com/urlmode.asp I hope they finish it as well. > Julian Gollop Cool, I've never met any of the X-COM creators before, I must say you have made a very nice game, I want to thank you for that :-) Greetings, Crazy Photon -- Resistance is NEVER futile... except for you!

70 years.

Are you talking about UFO2000? I'm sorry if you feel so. We did not want to steal anything but just tried to give a second life to the best game ever that is not officially developed anymore :( We have plans for replacing graphics and everything not created by us to become completely legal. But unfortunately the game can lose its X-COM feeling just like LSN is a good game but definitely not X-COM. We really do respect what you did in the past and what you are developing currently. If I can do anything for you (provide a link from ufo2000 homepage to LSN, update documentation to explicitly state that the game is really using a large part of your work, ...), just e-mail me. -- Serge Semashko ufo2000 development team http://ufo2000.sourceforge.net

I thought Julian was refering to a certain other publisher, starts with 'Micro' and ends in 'prose'... I am talking about our original publishers - Microprose - who forced us into handing over the intellectual property rights to X-Com. > We have plans for replacing graphics and everything not created by us > to become completely legal.
