Craft Range

Greetings. I can't find either in the manual, OSG or USG
the ranges of craft. (this perhaps is telling me I need to know
something that most have figured out somehow:) The reason
I ask, I have my Skyranger doing patrolliing to extend my
radar coverage till my second base is built up, but if it
see's aircraft, my interceptor's can't get to it (most Japan
and South Africa). So before I go to the effort of building
Firestorm's, would like to know if they indeed have the
range to be effective for me at this point in time.

Thanks!

Donan

firestorms are your fast interceptors which can be built quickly & cheaply
while your still researching the avenger. you shouldn't have any bother
getting to the other side of the globe for anything except terror ships &
battleships, which are too fast - the thing to watch is fuel, as they only
carry 20 Es, iirc - so get there & kill em quick, don't wait & try to get em
over one country rather than another --- alternatively, if you have enough
decent soldiers that you can have some in the patrolling skyranger as well
as some at home base, then chase the ufo with that instead - you get more
equipment & more points assaulting a landing rather than a crash.
the only times you might want to shoot down a ufo are infiltration and
terror missions over the rich [and therefore big funding] countries.
