Do any of you know if UFO: Aftermath will stay in the X-com format of game play? Or maybe seen a demo of it?

But you can't even kneel! Cause they couldn't be bothered animating it!
It's such a STEP BACK from Apocalypse.

For me, I don't care if you go prone or not it's how the total package works together. That's what makes a good game from a bad game. There would be no point in making new games, if all that you needed was a new expansion set for the orig. X-Com. For some of you out there, that sounds like all your looking for. So you consider Xcom Apoc an expansion set for X-Com?

That's not something I'd like to see in a 'son of X-COM' game. Offcourse we don't know everything about it yet but I think it's a bad sign. But I'll probably buy it anyway. It has to receive really sucky reviews for me not to. :)

While the original X-Com was, and still is, great, I've been pretty spoiled by Jagged Alliance 2 and all the things that engine allowed you to do. I guess my dream would be to see an X-Com game with the JA2 tactical engine, or something similar. Hey ... I can dream! :)

When statements are made that imply operational changes in stragities are not wanted in newer ver. of a game, you are really asking for an expansion pack. Expansion packs usually change characters and environmental aspects of a game. I'm in the begainings of playing apoc. and will wait until after I finish it to decide. OK? STUPID MAN. I expected IMPROVEMENTS in the strategy and gameplay just
like how X-Com Apocalypse improved over X-Com. But they're REMOVING
strategic elements and making the game more primitive. It would be like
if they made Wolfenstein 3D the sequel to Doom.

If you paid any attention you would see that it's tomahalk that's being
an a dumbass about other people having different opinions. STUPID MAN.

If you had been around the group longer you'd have learned that many feel that Apoc was something Less than an expansion for Xcom in general. That Apoc was a bastard child and did not deserve to be included as part of the Xcom universe. So... to take that a step farther, Apoc was a step backwards. In the real world of Xcom you have to fight like a MAN, no one crawls, no one kneels, everyone stand and fights. Of course a few like to turn and run away, but thats a different story! ;) Raille

I've been here at least 4 years, you've been here 5. BIG FUCKING DEAL.
And I have NEVER seen anyone express that view cause it's STUPID. The
main complaint is that it's TOO different.
