I'm curious as to the number of people who actually frequent this ng. If you don't mind, could the regular posters send one message each in reply to this? If you don't want to, or you think it's a daft idea, then by all means disregard this. It's just that I'm curious... Greenish_9

Hello, I have posted several messages here...haven't managed to start a flamewar yet though! (Working on it still ;-} ) Ahm, well, I check this ng a couple times a day too...typically whenever I happen to check my email. Handy with Outlook! I'm a lurker here and would play X-Com internet play at the drop of a hat as long as it had ties back to games 1 and 2. I'm not a big fan of Apoc or Interceptor, but rank UFO Defense and TFTD as two of my very favourite games of all time. Is there a FAQ or compilation of suggestions for your the proposed remake? I have idead to contribute, but would like to not repeat ones I merely agree with. I'll at least mention my biggest wish for X-Com 1 and 2. Equiped troops before battle. Trooper X has a 90 in throwing so he gets all grenades. Trooper Y has great firing accuracy so he gets skill weapons. Trooper Z can do three laps around the map with his movement rate, he gets a tiny pistol and scouts. As you know, when equiping people before a mission starts, you can't access stats to tell who to give what loadout. Renaming your troops in a descriptive manner is an option, but I like them to have unique names like the game gives them. Soldiers die too often in the early game for you to remember in your head who has which strengths. My 0.02. Hi, I am also a frequent traveler to this ng. and enjoy reading the posted messages very much. I own Enemy unknown and TFTD and from time to time actually find time to play these games as well. Good luck to this ng. and hope it will remain for a long time active. I am also a frequent poster to this ng. I usually check here once a day. Since I am still in college, I don't have much time to browse as often as I would like. I own XCOM UFO, TFTD, and Apocalypse and prefer UFO above the others since it has a totally unique theme.
