Fortunately, it's not contagious. But it can give people chicken pox if
they've not already had it, huhahaha.

I only got it a few months ago. I started playing it, and stopped before
even reaching my first shipping mission. That was before all the cool stuff
that I just described happened. <g>

I've gotten PWT stuff before reaching the sonic ship cannon, weirdly enough.
<g>
Mind you, I never got psionics when playing UFO (always reached them last on
the research stakes, and could never be bothered to wait two or three months
when I did get them, sicne I could already get to Cydonia!), so having them
in the third month in TFTD is nice.

Rar.

Heheh, this is one of the first coelacanth - the aqua jet one. I've not
gotten any more advanced ones yet. Or any armour better than plastic
aqua-armour. Which is annoying, to say the least. I've nearly researched
everything I've got and have still not reached better armour...

Hmm, good point. Get rid of all the annoying psis. <g>

Nope, tentaculats are floating brains with tentacles. The vast jellyfish
things are some sort of four-square terror monster. I haven't researched
them yet... you don't recover the 'upstairs' corpses from the base, so I
can't yet.

Explosives on what? The 4-square jellyfish? Two blasta pulses put paid to
them. If you mean lobstermen, hell yes, I agree.

Nooooo. You've gotten me confused. These are useless ickle floating brains
with tentacles. Tentaculats. They're good psis, but have fuck-all else to
attack you with. :-)

ROFL.
I wisely researched everything I could before sonic weapons, to avoid
lobstermen. Unfortunately, this meant taking on tasoths with gauss, but
hey...

Hmm, it's an idea. I don't like threes, though - anything less than that
and the bugs won't use grenades. I tend to use ickle fireteams of two men
each. Also great for sweeping a map quickly.
Anyway, on this map I did at first travel in fiar-sized groups, but after
the twentieth turn of nothing I got a bit bored. <g>

Quite so.

Nahhhh. It's always fun to have your name contending with the Russian
troopers' names.

You nearly got lobster-ised by four bugs. But fortunately, one of them
stopped right in front of you (sonic cannon fodder), and the others were
dpl'ed to oblivion.

<screams in horror>
It's a terrifying thought...
