I'm in a mission where I have to kill a bunch of fighters and then two corvettes before I get to a dreadnought. I've tried a few different things but haven't been able to take it out yet. I was able to sneak up from behind and blow away its rear shield and put its aft area in the red, but it wouldn't die. When I try to go at it from the front or mid areas it has these big guns that shoot yellow lasers at me that blow the living crap out of me. I'm pretty sure I need to kill this thing to continue the mission, because the auto light never comes on and nothing else happens. I even tried to return to base without engaging the autopilot but they wouldn't grant me clearance. So how do I kill this thing? It takes so long to go through the mission just to get to the dreadnought that I don't have a lot of room for experimentation. I really wish WC 3 would let you save your game anywhere in a mission. Having to constantly repeat the same part of a mission to get to the part you're stuck in gets tedious real fast. Thanks in advance for any help. Dave Wimmers dwim...@erinet.com

The winning track has you attacking the Kilrathi home planet. You messed up somewhere earlier-- go back and replay the game. I actually kolled the dreadnought - just keep shooting it up - you can try reducing your sheilds to get mor gunpower once you are directly behind the ship and the lasers can't get you.... Or try Alt-O to reduce vunerability

You can fly inside some capital ships, so try going inside and shooting where the laser turrets can't get you. >So how do I kill this thing? Erm, if its really THE Dreadnaught you're facing (Thrakath's Flagship).... Then you must be at the battle of Earth.... And those 'Corvettes' are actually Sorthaks... And there is no way to win, anyway, even if you WERE to destroy the darn thing... Play for however many hours or days you can/want to... Then just eject and enjoy the movie...you don't get many chances in a lifetime to mouth off to a Prince of Kilrah, to his face... Then go back to the mission before you went to Proxima, and figure out the problem, and win the mission, and save the Earth without having to got there, and never have to fight that hopeless fight. -- Craig Lambert Give a man a piece of land, and quite soon his descendants will be slitting each others throats for it. Teach an man to live in space, instead, and his descendants will fill up the Universe.
