I don't smoke crack, don't play golf either. Bragging is not part of
being human it's part of being an immature, insecure fool. I could care
less about self righteousness or being a "role model". The biblical
quote was a response to a stupid attempt at self justification. I'm not
trying to save his soul, I'll see him in hell. I'm just pointing out
acts have consequences. You keep that I'll get mine any way I can
attitude. It will serve you well until you come up against someone who
says "like hell you will". Remember the law of the jungle is the young
are eaten by the more experienced. So listen and learn or get eaten. The
only way to survive in the information age is to avoid notice. A
shoplifting conviction is something you carry until you're eighteen and
sometimes longer than that. If you're over eighteen what are you going
to do when your employer asks "have you ever been convicted of a crime".
The records are becoming more and more availible, lying doesn't work any
more. I've had employers check my credit rating, police record,
landlords, employment history, and education records. My records and
concience are clean. How about yours? And how long will they stay that
way?
