Using the windows slowdown patch has almost completely cured my main
problems running the game. However, I haven't had any luck getting my
joysticks to run. When I first tried flight the joystick wasn't plugged in
so I set the game to mouse control, and now I don't know how to set it to
use joysticks. I have a gamepad hooked up to my USB port and a Wingman
Extreme Digital connected to my game port, and neither one is responding at
all.

In another question, how can I figure out when trade routes will be
profitable? I saw a news bulletin that Anhur has a strong ore market, and
did well transporting ore there, but beyond that I haven't a clue what to
transport that will make me any profit. People have mentioned other mission
types...can you only get those through the core plot or are there random
missions besides just cargo runs?
