Finally gave up.

For years I have had the mats in the bank, but from the ones from
vendor.

Still not a reci in the more than 20 jars broken...

Handing over gold and mats to a guildie to get it crafted (whenever he
got the time this weekend or next, his wife is due to give birth so he
is a bit tence atm :-D).

Thinking about doing Diablo and HearthStone to release my
frustration....

Need to get it out of my system so I can progress raid again Sunday
evening (we did 2 new bosses yesterday), gonna wipe a lot Sunday :-D

By default priest single target dps priest is the lowest. am still
competing as #3 at our boss fights though. Multi-dotting is hard, but it
makes the dps rock.''

Ouch, I gave up and bought mine off the AH a while back, same problem.
I'm going to get down to some serious archaeology soon though, as my
alchemist FINALLY discovered his last Burning Crusade transmute the
other day, which I've been trying to get for over a year now. Only
alchemy recipes I miss now are Vial of the Sands and one from Scryers
rep - I'm currently Aldor, but going to set some lvl 60ish characters
onto farming basilisks (may as well give them exp in the process; the
mobs are well enough spread that using a 90 to farm won't be much
faster), that'll be a fair grind but once it's over, only Vial to go!
Completism does lead to some nasty grinds, but when I'm that near a
perfect record, it's got to be done ;-)

Hope that goes well for him, and hope you enjoy your mount when you
get it, I'm already finding it very useful :-)

The D3 patch came out the other day and I'm loving it, loot is much
more fun (from the point of view of someone in crap gear, may not make
so much difference if you're kitted out in legendaries already). Seems
some big improvements in that game now, I'm looking forward to RoS
release.

What I like most about the latest patch is that 90% of what you find is useable
by your class/level. Before it was 10% useable 90% vendor trash.

Also the legendaries have all been useable with one or two exceptions.

Yeah, it's a big improvement that way, although a bit annoying when I
keep getting them for the same slot - I've only had five dexterity 2h
weapons so far (I find dual wield works better for my monk... luckily
I have had two dex fists too!)

Really enjoying it overall though, the exp boost right now is also
nice, I started levelloing a wizard alt, went from 18 last night to 37
so far today, without really trying that hard - hard difficulty is
just right for that character, champions and rares take a while to
bring down, but I never die and the rest of the place I can blast
through fast and enjoy the exp and loot :-)

I'm also rich from selling all the crafting mats and gems i get while
playing; prices are fairly high at present, I guess some people are
stocking up before the AH shuts down, but I reckon I'll pick up tons
more when I play in the future, so hey, I'll stock up on gold ;-)

That sounds great. I haven't had time to play Diabolo for a while but it
sounds like I should go back and give it another spin.

Cheers

I just got confused. Youre talking about D3. :)

Yep :-) The AH really didn't work as a concept there and thankfully
the devs recognised that and it's going.I'm making the most of it to
increase my gold count while it lasts, but already the new looting
system makes it fairly redundant I'd say, actually removing it no
longer seems so necessary!

I'm absolutely loving it now, main changes for me are:

1. Loot 2.0 - far less grey/white trash, fewer purples, far more rares
and a huge increase in legendaries over before - I only ever saw three
legendaries before this patch, now I get them every 1-2 hours I'd say.
Add in the "smart loot" system, where a high % of your drops are
guaranteed to have main stats to suit your class and won't roll stats
that contradict the class the item is for (no more strength on wizard
hats lol), and a lot of drops are suddenly potentially useful
(crafting also always rolls stats for your class now). I love actually
getting upgrades, and some of them have fun bonuses to abilities that
make me think about trying different builds too :-)

2. Difficulty levels revamped - mobs and drops always scale to your
level*, meaning you can do normal at lvl 60 and get decent stuff
(instead of like me before, banging my head off a brick wall dying
repeatedly in inferno act 1 trying to get the gear to get further),
likewise you can (try!) far higher difficulties at lvl 1. I did the
whole thing on normal on my 60 monk and geared up nicely; I'm now
halfway through hard mode, figured I'd work up gradually and stop when
I hit a level that I start dying at - at present hard is no problem so
I likely should be on expert! I gave my wizard alt a shot on hard
instead of normal and that's paying off nicely; I don't die but feel
challenged by elites and get far more exp than on normal, so that
seems to be just right for me at present.

*If you're in a mixed level group they go to the level of the group
leader, which was rather amusing when my bf jumped into my lvl 60 game
on his lvl 7 demon hunter... he got oneshotted a lot :-P His loot
dropped at his lvl and mine stayed at mine which was pretty good,
haven't tested if it does that the other way round yet!

All in all, this has rejuvenated the game for me, sure, it's still a
gear grind, but it a much more fun gear grind when I can just blast
through huge packs of mobs without dying and expect to get something
nice relatively often. Can't wait for the expansion now - I'd have
played it anyway, but this patch makes me enjoy it a lot more :-)

You will nor regret getting that mount. It comes in handy when you need to carry a toon "over the rainbow" to the faraway.
