Block Value doesn't exist anymore since 4.0.1. (at least, not as a
particularly changeable stat)
Instead, blocks just block 30% of the damage. It's 30% whether it's a
50k hit from a boss or a 100 damage hit from a piddling little mob.
One of the meta gems can make it 31%. There is such a thing as a
critical block which blocks 60%, though it was never all that clear to
me exactly what causes that. Prot warriors mastery seemed to have a
bit to do with I think, or maybe it was the "shield block" skill, but
whichever, the wording kinda of made it sound like it just added to
your crit block chance rather than made crit blocking possible, but
critical blocking didn't seem to be mentioned anywhere else. *shrug*

But I'd still probably go for str over stamina anyway. I think str
may add to parry chances for warriors like it does for DK's, though
probably not at the same ratio. You'd want to check the mouse over
about that though. I'll probably check about that sometime too, along
with the other stuff, but gotta head off to work now.
