Warcraft II Modem - Intermitent modem problems...

While playing the game, I will get intermitent modem problems.
Basically I can play for 5 - 30 minutes and then BANG! I get the
'other player is having problems' error and everything stops and
eventually hangs up. What gives? Is it Patch time? I hope Blizzard are
doing something about this. Is anyone else having the same problem?
