Hmmm, If memory serves me from my Special Relativity Class at UWF then a
clokc held in your hand while you traveled 99.99... (cause you 'can't
actually go faster) would appear to be normal, regardless if you were
traveling in a space ship or traveling 'away' on earth and the other clock
would change. I can't remember what the other clock would 'appear;' to have
done, but all observations are necessarily relative to what you are doing.
Sory if that didn't help.... About going faster...well, I saw a show on the
Discovery Channel about going 'faster' than the speed light, but what they
showed is that you don't actualy go faster than the speed of light but you
can beat light to a point in space in certain situations, i.e. a cosmic
string, because light would have to travel in a straight line through space
but you could have the understanding that space was 'bent' and manuever your
ship to get to a point before the light particle reached it and therefore
back in time becasue you could see that particle twice and therfore
'something that happened' twice....did any of that help?
