Not really. It is part of the Legion unlocking. Think of it as akin to
the Dreanor unlock nose-ring quest.

As I said, the first time through it was just annoying. My impression
was definitely that you had to do this whole sequence STARTING with
Broken Shore to continue into Legion.

If I can skip it on all the alts, that would be excellent.

Here's one sequence:

Walk into Kara. Wait for K to appear. He talks. You have to wait until
he's done to click on him. He walks up the stairs to the ballroom. He
walks across the ball room to a force field. You stand there for a while
while he talks. A mechanical "attacks". you hit it a couple of times and
kill it. K walks BACK to the stairs. animates a force field. Then he
walks back to the first force field. He talks some more. You click a
glowing spot on the wall. the force field drops.
