So, there's a 1:1000 >chance of somone guessing the PIN. Funnily enough I'm not talking about "guessing", I'm not completely stupid and I do happen to understand how passwords work.... I'm referring to "hacking", which tends to find security holes faster than companies can patch them. >> Your call, there's no way I'd do that, since I don't believe any OS is >> entirely secure, > >Spoken like someone who hasn't investigated how the iPhone security >works. Yes, for *now* it may well be as secure as you claim. I'm saying it probably won't ALWAYS be so secure, as hackers tend to learn new tricks, thus it's somewhat risky to trust it 100% in the first place. And a phone which can be picked up and put in a pocket is just a little more likely to be stolen than my very bulky and heavy desktop computer, which has a case dating back to years when apparently bigger was better (it's a bit over the top now but I can't be bothered replacing it - it weighs a ton so I don't see anyone stealing it unless they have a van handy and clear the whole house out) ;-) >> and given the inflated price of Apple products, > >You get what you pay for. Security, for one. Of course, a decent Samsung >phone costs the same amount as an Apple phone, so not sure what is >'inflated'. To me "inflated" is a phone that costs more than my entire monthly income. Hence my saying they're likely to be targetted, as people who can afford to spend that much on a phone can't be short on cash...
