I've done the last boss a single time in an ach run with a handful of 
guildies a year ago.  But nobody told me the strats so I just nuked 
everything at that time.
Today I also nuked everything, looked where to go, nuked some more, 
found a brain, nuked it, teleported back to the initial room and nuked 
the boss.  Nuke heaven.  Suddenly it was dead.  And no protectors were 
up. :)

But before that I had some probs with Mimiron.  My brain was in 
nuke-mode as usual.  When the pieces got assembled I started nuking the 
boss from bottom to top.  I had forgot all about the mechanics in that 
fight as I hadnt done it in a year or so.  So when I had 1-2% HP left I 
decided to blink away, tried to avoid everything and yadda.  Here I 
realized I had to bring down all three parts at the same time just like 
the Protectors in SoO.  I was a lucky bastard as I managed to kill the 
boss with 4-5K HP left. :)
