Hello, In Unreal II, I get to the spot on Hell where a guy comes running out a door and spider spray at him and kill him. My computer hard locks at this place each time and I have to hard boot my computer. I have an ATI Radeon 64MB DDR graphic card with the Catalyst 4.3 drivers installed + DirectX 9.0. Has anyone else been having this problem at all? Please let me know if anyone has this resolved. Derek

This one didn't work. It said that Unreal II couldn't be found on my computer, but of course it is installed. So I guess I'm back to square one. Any other ideas would be great! The only reason I can think that it cannot find it is that you are using warez and you will have to reinstate the original unreal2.exe file then install the patch so you will have to reinstalll it "Derek" <wolfstone19@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:108rmf7s864ab45@corp.supernews.com... > This one didn't work. I don't have warez, but I do have Unreal II installed on a different drive. I have a separate drive for all my game programs just in case my computer crashes. I tried running the update from this drive too but it said not found. I'm wondering if being on a separate drive may be causing the problem. Heh, good point. Fortunately I do though, but this shouldn't matter. I simply reinstalled Unreal after reinstalling my OS, which should automatically update my registry. My saved games were all there and everything ran just fine. I just have the lockup in the one spot in Hell. I think it's either a graphics card driver or DirectX problem. Don't know how to solve it though unfortunately. I have the same problem with Unreal 2. I'm running an ATI Radeon 7500 128MB-DDR. It might be that early version of Radeon might be having problems running certain codes that the newer version (9000+ series) might handle. They generally tested the game on nVidia cards. This is a really messy workaround, but it may work....Dont look. If its a graphics-error, just look in the opposite direction during that scene. Once the anim has finished, you can resume playing.
