Unreal II lockup in Hell

Hello,
In Unreal II, I get to the spot on Hell where a guy comes running out a door
and spider spray at him and kill him.  My computer hard locks at this place
each time and I have to hard boot my computer.  I have an ATI Radeon 64MB
DDR graphic card with the Catalyst 4.3 drivers installed + DirectX 9.0.  Has
anyone else been having this problem at all?  Please let me know if anyone
has this resolved.
