Being that I haven't actually sat down at the controls and played it I
can't say whether or not it's awful but having seen it be played both on
XBox and on a PC, and watching gameplay footage I can say for certain that
it is nothing special. UT2k3 looks way nicer and performs better.

Is that supposed to count for anything? Trying to play a first-person
shooter with a gamepad is like playing hockey without ice-skates.
In addition to that, the XBOX controller is by far the most horrible
gamepad ever conceived by mankind. It's even worse than the N64
controller whose analog stick would break off just by staring hard at
it.

>the graphics is far better than the xbox version and the gay ass nvidia card

Any game will look better on a decent computer than on a console, due
to the console's fixed resolution/settings and hardware restrictions.
And in the case of Halo, it went from mediocre to slightly better,
although in the time it took for the PC version to come out, the
visuals were already outdated.

And the best visuals in the world still wouldn't help the poor map
design or the godawful gameplay and controls.

One-third of the Xbox owners disagree (the approx tie-in ratio of Halo on
the Xbox).

A superrior controller to the keyboard and mouse combo for FPS's has yet to

Dudes, IMO the keyboard/mouse controls dont do halo justice. I always
feel like it is very sluggish... Halo Xbox was fun, but only on LAN.
SOF II is da shiznat. I love it at lans. just blowing out someones
intestine and watching thier reaction is great enough. but right now,
Call of Duty is what i play. It is so fun, and the killcam rox.

Hey, I'm not the one who bought a console because of one game. The PS2
has the superior range of games and the GameCube has the Nintendo
goodness (Zelda, Mario, Metroid, et.al.)
The Xbox has the unwarranted hype, the crappy controllers and, er,
Bill Gates.
Please explain how it is that I'm the chump here.

Ah well, picture land hockey in an ice rink. :)

Nobody referring to "hockey" means land hockey. If land hockey's what
they're referring to, they say "land hockey". Hockey *is* ice hockey.

Because after two years you only seem to think Halo is the only game on
the Xbox. You also appear to judge people based on the console they
enjoy. Do you judge people based on the color of their skin, also?

No, but it's pretty much the only reason people buy it. Xbox doesn't
really have many exclusive games worth playing.

You don't buy your skin. And you're not born with your console as a
part of you. Yet another misplaced "Racism!!!1112!" comment that tends
to pop out of the woodwork whenever someone runs out of other
arguments.

That's why hockey is called hockey and ice hockey is called ice hockey.

Though none of this actually matters in the context of my original

I think it has something to do with the fact that being rich first and
foremost takes luck, and Byers resents that he has none. :)

Well, if it weren't Byers we were talking about here, I'd be disagreeing

Yes and no.

Think about it, is own all three consoles any more expensive than owning a
nice PC gaming rig? I certainly don't think so.

LOL...
ok, then work hard and pull yourself up by your bootstraps by working all
your life. See if you get rediculously rich that way. Bill Gates is rich
because he was lucky, he was in the right place to steal the right
technology and sell it at the right time to make the most popular OS in the
world. Most people are born into being rich, that's just plain luck there.
Rich people that are actors, or play sports, or are musicians are certainly
lucky to be gifted with talent, and to have been discovered. Being rich
takes luck more than anything.

I think you misunderstood. My point is that you obviously don't have to be
"rediculously rich" to own all three consoles for gaming. I paid $800 for
all three. Is that drastically more expensive than buying a PC for gaming?

Believe it not, some of us normal people don't go around holding grudges
against companies. I enjoy console gaming, so I bought all the current
systems so I could do that. I couldn't care any less that Microsoft drives

Shit, I can't build a decent gaming rig for less than 1200$ unless I start
invoking gh3yness

Still to those with a rent payment and minimum wage jobs, 800$ is a lot. I
would prefer they were cumulatively 80$

I've never paid $800 for anything related to gaming... My current computer
cost about $400 at the time of its last reassemble which included a new
CPU/Mobo, and new RAM. Before that, a video card cost about $100. I also put
in an extra hard drive which cost $60. Since the other components were
reletively cheap or free, (my Dad got an older monitor from work, and CD-ROM
drives are free after rebate fairly frequently, the case was only $40, and
the PSU was cheaper, mouse was free after rebate, and keyboard was $10) My
computer did cost significantly less than $800. While an AMD Athlon XP 2000+
with 1 GB DDR RAM and a GeForce 3 Ti 200 is by no means a top of the line
box these days, it runs every game I've thrown at it relatively well.

Considering that we invented most of them it seems only fair that we get
to decide what they are called.

I dunno. I think this should be Hockey's new name. We'll have to be
careful tho, because those dang Cro Magnun's would call it "grr Ok" and try
and supplant the game.

That will be because he's an American and therefore unable to follow a
reasoned argument. (Or because he's an ice hockey player).
