I know it's an old game. but many people are still playing it. I'm
looking to recruit serious unreal scriptors for a CTF Mod, If anyone
is interested, gte back to me at suspendednight@gmail.com

Old game? For sure. Still good? Definitely!
As for CTF mods, I wouldn't mind seeing another one. UT servers are always a
blast, modded or vanilla. I you're looking for cool CTF mods, I recommend
the "Dr. Strangelove" mod.

Not the most practical idea, but loads of fun if you just want to dick
around!

I know nothing about Unreal Script, so I'm responding in the
newsgroup. I'm curious what you've got in mind, though. CTF is my
preferred mode of play, though I prefer it when you have to actually
carry the flag back to base.

And UT's original scoring model (7 points for the actual cap, and
nothing for anything else) was kind of crappy. It assumed the person
who capped was the person who took the flag from the enemy base, and
that isn't necessarily true.

Both of those mods already exist, and are pretty decent. (But the
Carry mod on 2k4 is kind of crappy. I often find the enemy team has
scored, even though I know I was carrying a flag.)

So why do you care about individual points in a team game? :P

OMG Folk you wouldn't believe....Monsterhunt is a "get to the goal" game
like assault (sorta) but the points system is a spot of constant debate.
Players really care about score even when it has no real game relevance.

I'm sure. Twas always true in CTF or any other team based version of UT.
I'm just chain yanking. :)
