Playing CTF at -=Thunder=-I, I (once again) get confused with someone that's good... I didn't get the first part, the maps changed before I could dump the console. He started in on me shortly before the maps changed. What started it was, he tried unsuccesfully about 6 times to frag me on cft1 while I was holding the flag at my base. I do have to say that some people have unusually good aim and sometimes I wonder about it... But, I'm too busy trying to keep from being target practice to bother typing in snide comments to the other players... Babs

The beauty of it is that I don't really care, either. :) I've seen demos of people using them, and it CAN sometimes be hard to tell, but usually if someone specs them, it becomes obvious. I think 90% of the people I play with would never even consider it though, the game is just too damned fun to worry about cheating.

Never really took off in Q3 anyway, bot cheaters started out in Q2 and migrated to Counter-Strike for the most part. I wouldn't worry about it. Never met one myself even when I played Q2 on a daily basis. <g> Course, there's the other kind of bot, the AI opponents, but they cheat anyway ;) -- -- * I always hope for the best. I guess it's 5 years since I played online much :) Seems I had GL Quake running fine. Then found no servers for the classic Quake engine. Seems there's a couple code rewrites running a lot.
