Q3 IHV working...sorta, but can't see squat

Ok I got the quake3.zip and the fix and it runs, but when the thing loads, all the textures are white and I can't tell what's what. Also can't see my weapon or any of the numbers in the status bar. I also get a lot of "cant' find" messages about the sounds but they uncompressed to the correct subdirectories. I have a voodoo 1 card, and a p266mmx with 32 megs of ram. I know I need to upgrade, but please tell me if I can just get the game to LOOK better... -- Maagic aka Bryan Foster Webmaster of the Rick and Bubba Audio Page http://www.cybrtyme.com/personal/bfoster/bubba.htm

I'm surprised you got the game to run at all! It's not supposed to be able
to run on a VooDoo1.

well, I knew it wasn't going to be no 70fps or nothin, I just wanted to
be able to say I could run it :) I don't consider it "running" until I
can see what the heck I'm doing

Can't remember where I saw it, but it was officially posted
(probably PlanetQuake) that a P200 with 32 RAM and Voodoo1 is
the official minimum specs.

Coo,l I must have been mistaken then! It seems that this test version is
having troubles with mostly VD1s.

Actually, I thought the V1 was the minimum requirement.
Getting it to run a rush would be a supreme accomplishment/horror though...
