Thanks for the repsonse...
I have sort of done what you outlined already and that is when I
posted...
If I can't start the game without deleting  the punkbuster directory,
how can I let it
autoupdate !!!!
I guess if I want to repeat the whole process again and see what
happens, but really, this should not be happening at all !!! Not in
this day and age
