This has happened to me a couple of times as well... - Might be a long shot, but remove all other CDs from your CD drives. - Delete the q3config.cfg file (and temporarily rename your autoexec.cfg, if you have one). Let the game generate a new q3config. - Get the latest version of punkbuster. If that doesn't help, temporarily set both sv_punkbuster and cl_punkbuster to 0 in your config, and try again.
