-> What if the world in quake constantly went from day to night slow -> i.e. if the lighting in the outdoor environments shifted from light t -> dark over maybe the course of an hour or two. Of course this wouldn' -> affect indoor environments unless there were windows and I don't -> think it would be that hard to implement. Just a thought. -> dan That would be very cool. You're right, as well, it wouldn't be difficult to implement and it would add to the realism.

Have the environment lighting change based on the server's time, so that everyone will have day/night at the same time.. dare we dream for weather conditions/visibility? (imagine how much faster client would run if all this stuff were handled by a whopping fast server?) -- Mathew A. I was thinking of something like a real-time clock an a wall or something..
("Oh shit! Late for class/work/etc!!" :)
BTW, this group just showed up on my server... Is there a FAQ for Quake yet?
I'd like to sort out rumor from fact.. I don't want to speculate too much,
but from the looks of it, it won't be out until next Christmas or so...
