As far as sound cards go, I've heard the turtle beach and was not particularly impressed. I bought the AWE32 when it first came out, and again, was not particularly impressed with the wavetable sounds. I returned the card after about 2 days and bought the SB16 basic and a Roland SCC-1. IMHO, nothing can beat this setup for games. Another alternative, although I haven't heard it, is Rolands daughterboard (DB-15 or something like that?). The SB16/SCC-1 setup, though, offers the best sound, music, and co mpatibility for practicly anything a game player will .
