Its too early to tell what quake with get with 3d Sound and such, but I would not worry about the Awe-32 at all. The President of ID Software has an AWE-32 on his computer (Jay Wilbur). The Awe-32 also has the ability for speech built in with the ASP and such and then it has Sound Blaster and Sound Blaster 16 abilities. I have one, definatly worth it...... Roland is good for MUSIC ONLY, but the AWE-32 is good for DIGITAL and MUSIC. The Awe is definatly ONE of the best buys I have ever made (next to this 14.4kbps modem)
