Greetings... I just got a new system, which came with WindowsXP installed. I tried to install and run good ol' Quake 1, and it crashes immediately. When attempting to run the quake.exe executable, I get a GPF with the following info: Quake v1.06 Locked 1 Mb image Locked 11 Mb data malloc'd: 11833344 Exiting due to signal SIGSEGV General Protection Fault at eip=000452cb and a bunch of other addresses, etc. I try to run the q95 batch file, it also crashes, without explaining itself. My exposure to XP is going on 48 hours or so, so I may be missing something very basic. There doesn't appear to be a 'MS-Dos Mode', or anything like that. So what is one to do? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Ron
